College football team wins in OT by lateraling for TD on a blocked FG return

Stetson's game-winner is awesome, even by block-six standards.

Penn State's blocked field goal-turned-touchdown runback to beat then-No. 2 Ohio State was last weekend's most memorable college football moment. But it wasn't the only play of its kind, and I'm here to argue that FCS program Stetson actually one-upped it.

What you're watching here: Stetson was locked in a 24-24 tie with Campbell, and the Camels were trying to kick a 30-yard field goal in overtime. But the Hatters broke through the left side of the Camels' protection, and Donald Payne (No. 7 in white) blocked it. Jeb Boudreaux picked the ball up and booked it downfield.

After about 85 yards of galloping, the Camels caught up with Boudreaux. But Payne never quit on the play, and he was lurking nearby as Boudreaux was driven to the turf. Boudreaux pitched the ball backward to Payne, who scooted into the end zone for a game-clinching score. It was a beautiful way to make some puzzle pieces fit together.
