After trading away Dorial Green-Beckham, Titans appear close to cutting or trading Hunter. We break down the fantasy implications.
Justin Hunter could be the latest roster casualty at wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans after Dorial Green-Beckham was dealt to Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Hunter told the Nashville Tennessean on Wednesday that he believes his roster spot is in danger.
"I feel like it sent a message out to everybody - you better get your stuff right," Hunter said. “It is still going to be hard (to make the team) because we have a lot of talented receivers in the group. I feel like everybody is on the chopping block. We have a new GM, and he didn't draft too many people in here. Anybody could go at this point, and we are all fighting for a spot."
Hunter has been labeled a cut candidate by ESPN's Paul Kuharsky. Hunter had 22 receptions for 264 yards and one touchdown in 2015 and is currently part of a crowded receiver corps in Tennessee.
Fantasy spin: The emergence of rookie Tajae Sharpe makes Hunter all the more expendable. Hunter is probably best left for the waiver wire until his situation resolves itself in Tennessee and he perhaps winds up on a team in need of his services.
