Former Wyoming star Josh Adams needs your help after serious car accident

Adams is seeking $30,000 to help pay for medical expenses.

Josh Adams finished a prolific career at Wyoming last season by setting the Cowboys' single-season scoring record and being named Mountain West Player of the Year. Now he needs your help. Adams was involved in a scary car accident in Denver last weekend, where he fractured his C5 and C6 vertebrae. To help pay for his medical bills, his family has set up a Go Fund Me page.

Adams played with the Denver Nuggets this year in the Las Vegas Summer League and signed a contract with Avtodor Saratov of the Russian VTB United League shortly after. He hopes to play in the second half of the team's season.

Adams finished third in the country last season by averaging 24.2 points per game while adding an average of 5.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists each night. He helped lead Wyoming to the NCAA Tournament as a junior by capturing the Mountain West Tournament championship. Adams ended his career as the school's fifth all-time leading scorer and is tied for the most games played in program history.

Adams was also known as one of the biggest dunkers in the country during his college career. Here are a few of our favorites:

Adams is hoping to raise $30,000 to help pay for expenses. Again, here's the link for how you can contribute.
