No surprise here; the ACC Tournament is loaded with talent in 2016 -- led by a stacked Virginia team that can run with any team in the nation.
With less than a week to go before the NCAA Tournament, the ACC is once again one of the strongest leagues in college basketball.
The Atlantic Coast Conference is projected to send at least six teams to the big dance, led by No. 4 Virginia and No. 7 North Carolina. The rise of Cavalier basketball has been one of the nation's most intriguing story lines over the past three seasons. Conference player of the year Malcolm Brogdon has led UVA to a 9-2 record against RPI top-50 opponents in 2015-16. If the Cavs can extend that record to 11-2 this weekend, they'll lock down their second ACC Tournament title in three years.
It won't be an easy road. Virginia is staring down a remaining tournament field that includes the Tar Heels, a Notre Dame team with four wins over top-25 competition this season and a Miami squad that has spent the season floating in and out of the top 10. Does Tony Bennett have the formula to hang another banner back in Charlottesville? Or will an ever-competitive ACC close the window on the Cavs championship chances?
