NHL Thursday: Blackhawks tie for Central lead with win in Montreal

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville also made history with his 723rd coaching win, passing Al Arbour for second-most all-time.

There's little doubt the tilt between the New York Islanders and New York Rangers was filled with more tension than any other game on Thursday. But nobody could've expected the two teams to resort to schoolyard behavior.

Let us explain. Islanders forward Cal Clutterbuck got into a war of words with Rangers tough guy Tanner Glass along the benches. Clutterbuck eventually decided he had had enough of the conversation and started to turn away.

That's when Glass crossed the line no five-year-old kid dare cross on the school playground.

That's right. He did the chicken wings at Clutterbuck. Clutterbuck's only response to such a grievous offense was to utter "nuh-uh, you're stupid!" back at Glass. Probably.

Such depravity. What has sports come to?
