Seahawks vs. Falcons and Cowboys vs. Packers are just a couple of heavyweight matchups on tap for Week 6. Follow along for the latest scores, highlights, and more.
Week 6 of the NFL season is upon us, and there are a handful of exciting games on the schedule as teams look to either establish their positions in the playoff race, or try to turn things around after a rough start.
The 1 p.m. slate found the Eagles getting a loss that they likely hadn't anticipated as they fell to Washington by a single score. Washington kept pressure on Carson Wentz, and pulled out the tight victory in the NFC East matchup.
Another 1 p.m. game that had piqued interests was the matchup between the Bengals and the Patriots. Unfortunately for Cincinnati fans, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were just too much to handle. It was a career-best day for Gronk, who hauled in 162 receiving yards and a touchdown.
In the late afternoon, we get some marquee NFC games with the Green Bay Packers hosting the Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks taking on the Atlanta Falcons. Ezekiel Elliott is living up to the hype for Dallas, while Dak Prescott continues to put in solid performances. The Packers will attempt to get within one game behind the Minnesota Vikings, who are undefeated and on bye this week.
The Seahawks got their bye week at a perfect time and Russell Wilson is close to full health after battling ankle and knee injuries earlier in the year. The Falcons dispatched the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos last week and Matt Ryan is playing at an MVP level, but he figures to face another tough challenge in Seattle's defense. It would not be surprising if we saw these teams square off again in the postseason down the line.
