The Cardinals wrapped up an exciting Week 6 by blowing out the Jets in Arizona.
Week 6 of the NFL season is in the books, and there were a handful of exciting games over the weekend.
The 1 p.m. slate found the Eagles getting a loss that they likely hadn't anticipated as they fell to Washington by a single score. Washington kept pressure on Carson Wentz, and pulled out the tight victory in the NFC East matchup.
Another 1 p.m. game that had piqued interest was the matchup between the Bengals and the Patriots. Unfortunately for Cincinnati fans, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were just too much to handle. It was a career-best day for Gronk, who hauled in 162 receiving yards and a touchdown.
In the late afternoon, we got some marquee NFC games with the Green Bay Packers hosting the Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks taking on the Atlanta Falcons. Dak Prescott led the Cowboys to their fifth straight win, and Ezekiel Elliott continues to live up to the hype for Dallas, becoming the first rookie to rush for 130 yards or more in four straight games.
With the loss, the Packers fell further behind the Minnesota Vikings, who are undefeated and on bye this week, in the NFC North.
The Seahawks got their bye week at a perfect time and Russell Wilson is close to full health after battling ankle and knee injuries earlier in the year. The Falcons dispatched the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos last week and Matt Ryan is playing at an MVP level, but they threw away their chance to take down the Seahawks on the road. Instead, Seattle came back to win, 26-24, but not without controversy thanks to a pass interference no-call.
On Sunday night, the Colts surged out to a lead in Houston, but Brock Osweiler came alive at the right time to help the Texans erase a late 14-point deficit and win in overtime. Houston improved to 4-2 and remains atop the AFC South.
The Week 6 finale on Monday Night Football saw the Arizona Cardinals have little trouble dispatched the New York Jets, 28-3. David Johnson had a monster game with 111 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, while the defense allowed just 33 yards on the ground.
