High school RB keeps running after sticking the landing on twirling hurdle over a defender

Football players who attempt to hurdle a defender can come to regret that decision very quickly. A lot can go wrong when a ball carrier leaves their feet. Or, they look like an Olympic gymnast after sticking the landing.

Not only did Malik Johnson pull that off, he gained some extra yards after landing on his feet. It didn't seem like it was going to turn out that well initially, but some acrobatic moves in the air helped him create a great highlight.

Just how good was that play? Let's let the reactions of Johnson's teammates and coaches tell the story.

A coach is doing the surrender cobra for a play made by his own player:

This teammate appears to be in shock:

This teammate wants to ensure it's on video, probably so he can watch it again:

No one can believe what they just saw. The first teammate is still in shock:

I mean they REALLY can't believe what Johnson pulled off:

Unfortunately the Russian judge took off six points for Johnson's hand touching the ground on the landing.

(Thanks to Paul Ryan for sharing this great video)
