Going to a golf tournament must be a great experience, but any positive feeling of experiencing the sport would definitely subside if you get hit in the face by a golf ball.
Elisa Butler was just minding her own business basking in the beauty of the Colonial golf tournament when a golf ball hit her in the face. She had to get a few stitches, but she got a great apology from golfer Tony Finau.
Finau actually went to Butler's house to apologize for the incident. He didn't just autograph a golf ball either. He went beyond what golfers typically do when a ball unfortunately hits a bystander. He delivered flowers, a box of chocolates and a card that read "get well soon."
We're sure Butler would have preferred not to be hit with a flying golf ball, but this is a very sweet gesture.
