If there were any doubts left about whether Steve Mason could help carry the Philadelphia Flyers to the playoffs, he erased them with one fantastic swoop of his glove.
The Flyers battled back to tie the Washington Capitals late, then survived a penalty kill in overtime and pushed the 1-1 tie all the way to a shootout. Mason made a save, the Flyers scored and then he made Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov wonder what the heck went wrong.
