Keep up to date with the men's singles bracket at the 2016 Australian Open with our bracket and schedule.
The 2016 Australian Open is here, as top seed Novak Djokovic is looking to defend his singles title after opening the year with a title in Qatar. Djokovic has won five Australian Open titles and smart money is on him making it six this year.
The so-called "big four" of Djokovic, Andy Murray, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal still exists, but Djokovic has been a step above those three and he could be in line for his most dominant season yet. He dominated Nadal in the final in Qatar, 6-1, 6-2, though Nadal has started to find his stride as well after stringing together a couple inconsistent seasons due to various injuries.
Djokovic, Murray and Federer are the top three seeds, with Nadal coming in as the fifth seed. Federer and Djokovic are likely to meet in the semifinals this year, as they were drawn in the same half of the bracket. Murray, Nadal and Stan Wawrinka, the tournament's fourth seed, are all in the other half of the bracket.
Last year, Djokovic won the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open, only falling short in the finals of the French Open, the one Grand Slam he has still yet to win.
