Johnny Gaudreau records 100th point by opening Flames scoring against the Jets

Johnny Hockey has the Flames up early on this nifty deflection.

Budding star in the making Johnny Gaudreau is having himself a solid second season with the Flames. Besides being one of Calgary's up-and-coming players, Johnny Hockey now has himself his 100th point in his 115th game played, becoming the fifth fastest Flame in history to reach triple digits.

The goal, his 13th of the year, came on quite a tally off a seemingly harmless shot that deflected off a Winnipeg Jet in front to put Calgary up 1-0 on the visitors. Gaudreau is standing at the far boards when he lets the shot off, looking for a redirection from one of his teammates but he instead gets one off the Jets defender in front.

Calgary increased their lead to two 10 minutes after the opening power play tally to lead the Jets 2-1 after the first period.
